Did you know 72% of Americans have at least one social media account, with Facebook and Instagram as the leading platforms
Whether you’re just poking around or have already understood the value social media can bring to your practice, welcome!
Social media is everywhere we go. It’s in our pocket all the time and comes out when we’re waiting for the bus, winding down for the day, killing some time, or looking something up and then getting distracted (guilty!) Social media has evolved from purely entertaining us, to being a trusted friend - showing us things we would like and letting us “feel things out” before committing. Social media isn’t going anywhere, so we should let it help us and increase our visibility to reach prospective clients and help them make the leap into therapy.
This is where I come in.
I’m here to help make your social media game strong. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I know the people we are trying to reach. I understand the hesitancy our clients feel when they begin to consider looking for a therapist. I know the courage it takes to schedule and ATTEND a therapy session. I know them because I see them everyday. I also know that social media content creators who are NOT in the mental health field just don't get it. Content promoting your practice should know the language we use in sessions, understand the importance of diversity and inclusion in posts, and be relevant with the latest mental health research. Who better to shape your social media presence than a practicing psychologist?
After signing up, you will get 20 days worth of customizable social media content (that can be used on Facebook and Instagram) sent to you. PLUS, each monthly membership comes with access to a highly specialized content library. What's this? Well, it's a collection of content organized by different mental health specialties. Got questions? I've got answers!
Once receiving the content, you just need to schedule them to post and voila! Your social media is done-zo for the month! (Don’t worry, you’ll get tutorials on how to post and I promise it’s not as hard as it seems). I stay on top of the latest Facebook and Instagram trends and design content that speaks to the algorithms' latest cravings and puts your page across more screens.
Your ticket to freedom from social media frustration or avoidance is a few clicks away. As we know, the best way to get over pain is to get through it, you are one behaviorally activated step away from social media liberation!
Hi, I’m Erin, a licensed clinical psychologist in Wisconsin. I’m also a mother, wife, Packer fan, hobby baker, Christmas enthusiast, and your content creator.
I began thinking about content creation when a dear friend of mine (who is also a therapist) began looking for her own personal therapist. You would think that being in the industry would give us an “in” to finding the perfect therapists for ourselves. Wrongo! (cue Grinch voice). She dug and dug through the internet, Psychology Today, and ultimately landed on her therapist through....drum roll please...social media! It went something like this, “One of my therapist friends recently made a post where she tagged one of her therapist friends and I looked where they were working and went to their page and decided they would be a good fit for me.” While I’m glad she found her therapist, I was shocked and disheartened with the leaps and hurdles that an INSIDER had when finding the right person. AND she ended up finding them on social media - not through any of the paid advertisements of Google or Psychology Today.
As mental health professionals, we know better than anyone the importance of good mental health. And with the rise of mental health symptoms across all demographics, we are needed now more than ever. Still, before any client will schedule with us, they want to feel like they know, like, and trust us. There is no better way for someone to feel connected to you without ever meeting you than through an active, engaging, and welcoming social media presence.
So, whether you have avoided posting because you don’t know how, or didn’t have time, or swore you would “really learn how to do it and make my own posts,” but inevitably didn’t, or tried posting but didn’t get much engagement or forgot to make the posts, or spent WAY too much time (and frustration) trying to come up with one post, or just don’t “get” social media…you get the picture…this is for you. I create postable content for Instagram and Facebook that is customizable to you and your practice. No more racking your brain on what to post about or mess with Publisher or Canva to make the perfect image. You will also get tutorials on how to schedule posts so the social media dragon doesn’t loom over your head anymore!
Your ticket to social media enhancement is a few clicks away
Receive 30 posts per month + access to a specialized content library - all created by a licensed psychologist. In less than two sessions, you can have this month's content paid for! (You'd spend $12/post if you contracted with a non-psychologist content creator!)
Ah a sweeter deal! You will get 3 consecutive months of content + access to the specialized content library. And, like the monthly package, posts are designed to drive engagement, promote diversity and inclusion, educate on mental health, and help visitors get to know YOU. One therapy session a month pays for itself!
The SWEETEST deal! Six months of content at the best rate + access to the content library. Data shows that to get the engagement results you want, you should be posting consistently for 6 months. This package takes care of that for you and you get the best deal!
The Content Library is our way of helping you get highly specialized content on your feeds. In addition to your monthly content, you will get access to MANY graphics that you can post based off what is relevant to you and your practice. Throughout the month, each specialty area will get more content (1-5 posts) added to it so check out your area often for new releases!
Wondering if your specialty area is in the content library? Shoot Erin a message to inquire!
Note: The content you receive monthly comes with captions. The content in the library does not and you are encouraged to create your own captions. This is intentional so clients can hear your voice as you speak about your specialty!
To help decide which package is best for you, decide what your goals are. Generally, the longer the commitment (3 or 6 months), the lower the cost. We recommend signing up for multiple months as it takes about 6 months of consistent posting to get the engagement outcomes you want.
You could absolutely learn how to make your own posts and there are plenty of businesses out there who will help you with that. They do come at a pretty penny, however. And, not to mention it takes time to create these posts. A new content creator is spending about 30 minutes per post and that’s AFTER they figured out their posting game plan and checked the latest algorithm.
All in all, if your social media content game hasn’t started or been consistent, the time is now. A survey from APA found that from 2020 to 2021, the demand for therapy nearly doubled (37% to 62%)!
If you’ve done some research, you’ll find tons of content creators out there. However, many of them don’t have a background in mental health, let alone are providers themselves. If you’ve ever tried hiring a content creator (not a psychologist), you may have noticed that the stock images were bland and “typical” therapy posts. You may have also noticed that they spoke to selling your services instead of letting your compassion, empathy, awareness, and expert knowledge shine through.
Definitely! We promise it sounds a lot scarier than it is. When you subscribe, you will be given access to a step-by-step how-to guide that walks you through how to edit and schedule posts (if you want).
Nope! Our posts are designed to boost your visibility without having to pay extra for paid advertisements. We do this by creating posts that speak to the latest Instagram and Facebook algorithms and promote engagement with the communities you are trying to reach. However, you can choose to boost your posts to get even more visibility - but it's not necessary.
Once you make your initial subscription purchase, via our online store, whether that be for a monthly, three or six-month subscription, we will invoice you approximately two weeks prior to your renewal. To cancel your subscription, simply don't pay the renewal invoice.
All subscriptions start on the 1st of the month no matter when you sign up. Example: Thelma Therapist signs up and pays for a monthly subscription on March 15th. Her subscription doesn't start till April 1st and her month of April is already paid for.
We offer a 15 day money back guarantee - no questions asked (but we do love feedback). After that, we do not offer refunds of any kind but you will be able to have access to all the content you paid for and be able to use that at any time.
If you cancel, you can still post from the monthly content you received. However, you will not be able to post any content from the content library after you cancel.
Only people who pay for a subscription will have rights to the content. If someone is using this content without paying, let us know and we will have our lawyers issue a cease and desist.
